As a member of the Fount Coffee + Kitchen barista team, you will: Personally + professionally engage every guest, as you will be the first point of contact for customers | Operate POS, take orders + create exceptional experiences for customers by fielding questions and responding to feedback, providing assistance with ordering, offering recommendations, providing information on coffee brewing techniques + coffee varieties, asking clarifying questions, etc. | Dial in espresso, making adjustments and fine tuning as necessary for optimal extraction and taste | Handcraft each drink - fulfilling orders correctly, ensuring drink recipes are followed for consistency, upholding high standards of presentation (appropriate temperature, immaculate appearance, etc.) | Work alongside the kitchen and dishwashing teams to run orders to customers ensuring timeliness, accuracy + full satisfaction | Ensure espresso machine, miscellaneous coffee equipment, and workspace are kept clean, orderly and meet proper sanitation requirements | Complete any other tasks assigned by the Fount Management Team | Have unlimited opportunities for career growth and advancement | Be a part of a team that loves you, values you, and advocates for you!
18 years or older | A minimum of ONE year barista experience, 2+ years experience strongly preferred | Must love people (ALL people) and have a desire to befriend + attentively serve every customer, to build genuine relationships with guests, to create unprecedented customer service experiences, and to maintain stamina in providing as equally incredible service to the 100th customer as you did the 1st | Must be competent in coffee preparation + presentation, ability to multitask during peak hours (high volume + fast paced) | Must have a passion for coffee + a desire to pursue excellence in coffee craftsmanship, grow in industry skill & knowledge, pursue innovation, and be an approachable teacher/ambassador for specialty coffee within the shop | Must possess a desire to work hard + go above and beyond in basic tasks | Must be comfortable with the physical demands of this position including standing for long periods of time | Must be committed to upholding proper sanitation standards and a clean work space | Must have a desire to work alongside a close-knit team, and a willingness to serve and care for your fellow employees | Must demonstrate humility and a willingness to receive instruction and be led | Must possess strong communication + problem solving skills | Must be committed to being positive, responsible, punctual + professional, showing up to each shift ready to hustle | Any previous experience in a customer service setting is a plus!
