The Frances Browne Multilingual Poetry Competition offers three separate language categories - Irish, English and Ulster Scots poetry. For each language category there is the option for poets local* to the festival to enter an into an additional competition category designed to encourage and recognise new poetry in the Donegal East area.

The ‘Local’ category is open to individuals who were born in and/or are currently living in the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District of County Donegal. If you are entering this category you do not need to pay an additonal entry fee. Only one fee of €5 is payable per poem.
