  • IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION:

    Application Deadline - November 30th @ Midnight

  • Type of Film:

    The Carole Dorothy Joyce Grant is specifically for student filmmakers. Films must be unique and make a contribution to society.  Films should be budgeted at $50,000 or less.  


  • Email List:

     

    Grant applicants will receive emailed tips and information on film funding, marketing, and distribution.


  • UPLOAD MAXIMUM:

    1. Cover Letter:

    Please upload a cover letter to go along with the other grant materials you'll upload (listed below). The cover letter should explain where you currently are in production and answer the following questions:

    1. Are you in research, pre-production, production, or post?
    2. Approximately how much money do you need to finish the film?
    3. Do you have coverage on your script?
    4. Do you have potential investors/donors?

    Give us as much info as possible on the current status.

    2. Proposal (or Synopsis):

    Please upload a copy of a 1-2 page Story Synopsis or Story Outline. In the body of your Synopsis, please include several compressed PHOTOS if you have them. Please upload your file as a PDF or Word doc.

    3. Marketing/Distribution/Social Media Plan:

    Please upload a copy of your Marketing/Distribution Plan as a PDF or Word doc. And we need to know how much you have raised for your film to date and where you intend to raise the balance of the funding.  Example:  Crowdfunding $30,000, grants $40,000 personal donations $30,000, etc.
