  • HEALTH CARE AUTHORIZATION (2024 - 2025)

     
    Any participation in our services as Parents / Legal Guardians will constitute acceptance of this policy and implementation.
     
    Upon signing the enrolment package, parents are giving authorization for Fun Kids Club Calgary, staff to care for their child during the day-to-day activities, as well as provide first aid if needed. In addition, parents are required to read the Fun Kids Club Calgary Handbook, and then sign stating they agree to the processes and policies in that handbook.
     
    Fun Kids Club Calgary may only provide health care to a child after receiving written consent from the child’s parent (this is included in the enrolment form). This written documentation must be kept in the child’s record for the duration of the child’s term with Fun Kids Club Calgary.

    PARENTS AND CHILDREN: 

    At FUN KIDS CLUB CALGARY, we provide convenient transportation to and from school for your child. We have designated, and certified vehicles/vans to transport your child safely to school.

    The following are rules and guidelines that all children must follow when transportation is provided.

    • Children are to remain seated at all times
    • Seat belts are to be worn at all times until the driver instructs children to unbuckle/or assist to unbuckle.
    • Children must sit in designated seats, depending on their height/weight/age.
    • They will be designated a booster seat, child seat or other according to the law.
      Children are encouraged to talk amongst themselves, this is a social part of their day, however we do discourage loud/screaming voices.
      Children are reminded that there is no food or drinks allowed during travel to ensure safety.
    • Children are not allowed to get out of their seat while the vehicles/vans are in operation. In case of an emergency, they may comply with the driver’s directions to do so.
    • There is a mobile phone on the vehicles for emergency calls.
    • If there is a behavior concern or safety concern, the driver will pull over to remind children of behavior requirements, and the driver will relay the information back to the Supervisor and may than be relayed to the parent/legal guardian if necessary.
    • If behaviour concerns continue with a child, transportation will be refused for that child to ensure the safety of all passengers on the transportations.

    FUN KIDS CLUB CALGARY has the right to refuse transportation for your child with limited notice.

    DROP OFF

    1. Our dropping point will be the designated locations that permit by the school. The Driver / Staff will accompany the children to the designated locations / School.
    2. The Driver / Staff will have the head count prior to departure.
    3. The Driver / Staff Shall ensure the Children are safely going into the School after the first morning bells.

    PICK UP

    1. Our Pick Up point located in the school compound (i.e: Playground, Bicycle Rack, Back or Front Door). The Driver / Staff of Fun Kids Club Calgary will reminded the children daily on the meeting point.
    2. After all the children present at the appointed Pick Up Point, The Driver / Staff shall take the attendance of the children before leaving the school ground.

     

    TRANSPORTATION AND SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION CONSENT

    • Children will be transported to and from school in the Fun Kids Club Calgary vehicles / Vans and in case of emergencies, in a registered Child Care car.
    • Fun Kids Club Calgary will assure any vehicles / Vans used are approved by the Safety Standards and all drivers will have appropriate and approved driving records.
    • We will contact and advise the teaching staff at Fun Kids Club Calgary of any changes for transportation and will give ample time to meet these changes.
    • Due to unforeseen circumstances my child may arrive late for transportation and will understand that Fun Kids Club Calgary Centre will make every effort to transport children on time ensuring safety is a priority.
    • At times children may forget or leave belongings at school, in which the driver will not have time to return to the school to collect them.
    • At times transportation may be cancelled due to poor weather conditions
    • It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the school that Fun Kids Club Calgary will be dropping off and/or picking their child up from school

    A minimum of two (2) staff must accompany children on any and all drop offs or pick-ups where seven (7) or more children are going.

    Where extreme weather or cold may be a factor, Fun Kids Club staff will use the CBE (Calgary Board Education) weather policy as a guideline for Transporting the children to school. 

    CHILDREN'S SAFETY ALWAYS OUR PRIORITY

  • I / We have read and understand the Transportation Policy and give Fun Kids Club Calgary the consent for my child to be transported to school and/or from school and other Off-Site excursions.

    I / We have also read the Transportation Policy to my child and agree to follow all the policies and guidelines to ensure safety.

  • WALKING POLICY

    Any participation in our services as Parents / Legal Guardians will constitute acceptance of this policy and implementation.

     

    Walking transportation for children to school / Playground / Offsite Excursion

    1. Staff will be familiar with Fun Kids Club walking policy through the use of the Offsite Excursion / Emergency Evacuation / Field Trip Consent Form.
    2. Staff will also carry a cell phone & Walkie-talkie with them, with the ringer turned on in case of emergency or need for  communication
    3. Rules for walking safely to the school will be reviewed with children regularly by the teachers. 
    4. Fun Kids Club staff will remain with the children at the school until bell times and the children are collected by school personnel.
    5. Fun Kids Club staff will make eye contact with the children’s school teacher when they are released from school.
    6. Fun Kids Club staff will arrive prior to bell times releasing the children from the school or calling them to enter the school.
    7. Staff will ensure that only those children who have written parental consent will be walked to and from school.  Parents will provide the transportation to Children without written consent.
    8. A minimum of two (2) staff must accompany children on any and all drop offs or pick ups where seven (7) or more children are going.
    9. Where extreme weather or cold may be a factor, Fun Kids Club staff will use the CBE (Calgary Board Education) weather policy as a guideline for walking children to school.  Children’s safety will always be priority.
    10. Fun Kids Club staff will stay and observe the children entering the school at drop off before they return to the Fun Kids Club center.
    11. Staff will ensure that they have all children scheduled for pick up that day.  If a child that is scheduled does not arrive at the pick up point, staff will immediately contact the Program Supervisor to see if a message has been left.  If no message has been left, they will go to the school office and ask if the child was picked up by the parent.  If not, the staff will then follow lost child protocol of calling 911 and reporting the child as missing.
    12. Fun Kids Club will obtain written parental consent for Offsite Excursions / Emergency Evacuation / Field Trip Consent Form.  Parents will be provided a copy of the transportation policy for their records. Planned routes and associated risks will be reviewed with parents prior to obtaining their consent.

  • I/We acknowledge that there is an Annual Materials Fee (non-refundable) which is charged in the first month’s tuition deposit. For start dates after December of the school year commencing, the materials fee will be charges at a prorated amount per month for the remaining school year, up to and including August.

    I/We understand that there is a monthly tuition, which due on the 1st of the month, via E-Transfer, Credit Cards or post-dated cheques. If payment is late, you will be contacted by our Finance Department (carmela@letsconnectkids.ca) & additional $45.00 late fee will be charged & it will be required to be paid by Cheque or Money Order (E-Transfer is optional), payable to Fun Kids Club Calgary; with a 8.5% processing fee.
