What to Expect From Your Prayer Session
These private prayer sessions are a special part of our retreat—a few intentional moments set aside to love on you, pour into you, pray with you, and create space for the Lord to minister to your heart.
Each session is 8 minutes long. While we know there may be things in your life that could require much more time, these sessions are not intended to unpack or address everything you may be walking through. We will honor the 8-minute timeframe so that everyone has an opportunity to receive prayer and so that we remain respectful of the time God has given us together on this retreat.
We believe God can do something meaningful in a moment. At the same time, this is not meant to be a “quick fix.” Freedom and breakthrough often require our continued participation—our willingness to surrender, receive, obey, heal, forgive, grow, and walk out what God is doing in us.
How you come into these few minutes matters.
You do not have to share anything you are uncomfortable sharing, and no one is asking you to manufacture vulnerability. But we do encourage you to come with an open and willing heart. Resistance, defensiveness, or remaining completely closed off can limit what you are willing to receive from the moment.
Come willing to be prayed for.
Come willing to receive encouragement.
Come willing to let the Lord touch an area you may not have expected.
Come believing that there is still more freedom available for you.
None of us has arrived. Every one of us has places where we need the Lord’s continued healing, freedom, correction, encouragement, and breakthrough. These prayer sessions are simply an opportunity to make room for Him.
Our prayer team is not coming to diagnose you, fix you, or force something to happen. We are coming to love you, serve you, pray for you, and partner with what the Holy Spirit desires to do in your life.
So when your eight minutes come, we encourage you to receive them as a gift. Come open. Come willing. Come expectant.
You may be surprised by what God can do with a surrendered moment.
