What is the Winter Youth Shred (Lesson) Program?
The Winter Youth Shred Program (WYSP) is a 5-week lesson program at Granite Gorge Mountain Park for kids and teens ages 5–18. It’s designed for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders to build skills and confidence in a fun, safe environment. Sessions run January 5 – February 8, 2026, with a makeup week February 9–15 if needed. When you register, you’ll choose one set day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or a weekend day). That same day is your session day for all 5 weeks—for example, if you choose Mondays, you’ll come every Monday. Students can select from weekday times (3:30–4:30 PM or 5:30–6:30 PM), new Friday sessions (3:30–4:30 PM or 5:30–6:30 PM), or weekend sessions. Packages are available for lessons only or lessons with rentals, with extra savings for season pass holders. Each day includes a one-hour lesson led by trained coaches who use skill stations, terrain features, and step-by-step instruction to help riders improve and gain confidence.
What is the Winter Youth Shred (No Lesson) Club?
The Winter Youth Shred Club is a 5-week no lesson option at Granite Gorge Mountain Park for skiers and snowboarders who are already confident on the slopes and want to enjoy the mountain without the need lessons. Sessions run January 5 – February 8, 2026, with a makeup week February 9–15 if needed. Club members choose one weekday (Monday–Friday) as their ride day, and that same day is their session for all 5 weeks. Each week they’ll check in with their Ambassador, then are free to ski or ride for the rest of the evening. With the mountain open from 3–8 PM this season, Club members enjoy plenty of time on the slopes. Packages are available for lift access only or with added rentals, and season pass holders receive extra savings. The Shred Club is a fun, social, and affordable way to spend the winter riding with friends and peers.

Make-up dates will be offered only if Granite Gorge Mountain Park (GGMP) cancels a regularly scheduled lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather conditions or other operational issues. Make-up dates will be scheduled at GGMP’s discretion and will be communicated to participants as soon as possible. GGMP reserves the right to modify or cancel the program or sessions based on weather conditions, participant safety, or other factors beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation by GGMP, make-up sessions will be arranged to the best of our ability. By participating in the WYSP, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
