  • The Len Everett Sportsmanship Award was established in 1984 by the Great Richmond Aquatic League (GRAL) to honor the memory of a man who was instrumental in the founding and structuring of the League.  Leonard Everett, from Hungary Creek Recreation Association, stood for the highest ideals of fair competition and good sportsmanship.  By a majority of votes, a plaque is awarded every year to one club in each division whose swimmers, coaches, and parents have best exhibited these qualities.  Each team must submit a first choice and second choice vote for other teams from within their division (voting team cannot vote for itself).  Teams that do not submit a vote are eliminated from receiving the award.  The winning team in each division will be announced at Champs.

  • Please also cast your team management's vote for the Coaching Award. This is in addition to the Coaches' vote and does NOT need to be the same.

  • The Len Everett Coaching Excellence Award was established in 2006 to recognize coaches that go above and beyond the normal expectations of a summer coach and best exemplify GRAL's purpose and ideals.  Each team must submit a first choice and second choice vote for other teams from within their division (voting team cannot vote for itself).  Teams that do not submit a vote are eliminated from receiving the award.  By a majority of votes, a monetary award is presented every year to one coaching staff in each division whose coaches have best exhibited these qualities.  The winning coaching staff in each division will be announced at Champs.
