    1. Eligibility

This USBC-certified tournament is governed by USBC and Greater Pittsburgh USBC (GPUSBC) rules. Each entrant must be an adult USBC member. Membership must be verified before bowling. Co-association fees are waived for this tournament. No more than one member of a professional bowling organization (on or after January 1 through participation) may compete on a doubles team.

    2. Event

Two-person Mixed Doubles teams consist of one woman and one man. Each bowler rolls three games. Teams are automatically entered in both Handicap and Scratch divisions.

    3. Handicap

Team handicap is 90% of the difference between the team’s combined entering average and 440 scratch, computed for the three-game series.

    4. Entering averages

Use the highest previous winter USBC league average (21 or more games). If none, use the highest previous summer average (21 or more games). If neither, use the highest current USBC league average of at least 21 games as of February 1, 2027; if unavailable, use the highest current average of at least 12 games as of that date. All others bowl scratch (220). If the bowler’s current qualifying average at bowling is 10 or more pins higher than the entering average, the higher average must be used (USBC Rule 319a(2)). Each entrant is responsible for verifying the average. Applicable USBC average-adjustment and prior-prize-winnings reporting requirements apply (Rules 319a, 319c and 319d).

    5. Entry fees & registration

Entry fee is $30 per bowler ($60 per team): $16 prize fund, $12 lineage and $2 expenses per bowler. Fees must be paid in full. Walk-ins are accepted subject to squad availability until one hour before the final squad. Make checks payable to Greater Pittsburgh USBC; returned checks incur a $40 service charge. Refunds and schedule changes require Tournament Director approval. Bowlers should check in one hour before their squad.

    6. Multiple entry

Multiple participation is allowed. A bowler may not cash more than once in Doubles with the same partner, and may bowl only one doubles set per squad.

    7. Substitutions

Substitutes must meet all eligibility requirements and preserve the one-woman/one-man team format. Substitutes take the original entrant’s lineup position. Notify tournament management at least one hour before the scheduled squad. Entry-fee reimbursement or sharing of prize money between original entrants and substitutes is not required by the tournament.

    8. Prizes & awards

All prize fees are returned as cash prizes. Each team may receive only its highest prize in the event. The prize ratio is one prize per five entries; minimum prize is at least the event prize fee. Prize-fund allocation is 75% Handicap and 25% Scratch. Scratch and Handicap champions receive awards of the same type and quality. First-place ties result in co-champions, with the applicable prize money combined and divided equally.

    9. Conduct & dress code

Tournament management may disqualify or remove bowlers for intoxication, inappropriate language, disruptive conduct or delaying competition. Suitable attire is required; shirts must cover shoulders. Bare midriffs, workout attire, short shorts or skirts/skorts, and clothing bearing offensive words or images are prohibited.

    10. Other

No practice is permitted on tournament lanes scheduled for that day. Tournament management assigns lanes. Entrants participate at their own risk; GPUSBC is not responsible for personal property loss or personal injury during travel to or from the event. Management decisions are final unless appealed under USBC Rule 329. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
