You must complete and submit a Bus Service Agreement if you are chartering a bus.

Volunteers are not allowed to sign charter bus contracts or argreements. It must be forwarded to GSMISTS for signature.

For bus/tour transportation through a third party, companies are required to have current certificiate of liability insurance in the amount of, $5 million (minimum).
A detailed train itinerary must be submitted to girlexperience@gsmists.org prior to start of trip.
A detailed flight itinerary must be submitted to girlexperience@gsmists.org prior to the start of trip.

Volunteers that have certificates/trainings MUST be present during activity/trip at all times.

Troop Management Training- GSMISTS training on how to manage your troop
1st Aid/CPR- 1st Aid/CPR training that is available entirely online does not satisfy GSMISTS requirements. Such courses do not offer enough opportunities to practice and receive feedback on your skills training and technique. We do accept blended learning trainings (classroom learning through video and in-person skills evaluation)
Troop Camping Skills- GSMISTS training on camping, building a campfire, and outdoor cooking skills
Lifeguard- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training for a pool. American Red Cross Lifeguarding Training with Waterfront Module for open water. Lifeguards must have their certification and Identification on them at all times
Small Craft (Canoeing, Kayaking, Standup Paddle Boarding)- Multiple certifications are accepted. Refer to the Safety Activity Checkpoints for the activity you are participating in for more information
Archery- USA Archery Level 1 Instructor
