Eligible Participants: People who are currently or formally incarcerated, on probation, or on parole.

GXR’s Freak The Beat Cypher Vol. 1 offers 6 available slots for verses throughout the EP’s 3 songs.
If selected, you may be paid for up to 3 verses, 1 for each song.
$500 bonuses will be awarded for best verse on the EP and best verse per song ($2,000 in bonuses are possible).

Pay Scale:
1 verse = $250
2 verses = $500
3 verses = $750
3 verses + 1 bonus = $1,250
3 verses + 2 bonuses = $1,750
3 verses + 3 bonuses = $2,250
3 verses + all bonuses = $2,750

Project’s Goal: To use the proceeds of the cypher to donate at least $25,000 to improve the conditions and financial opportunities of all incarcerated people in America, through community based organizations; who fight for fair wages for prison labor, more rehabilitation/parole services, and other needed opportunities. 

Fill out this form and include your demo, to provide us with a sample of your rapping or singing for one of the cypher's songs. (If incarcerated, you may call your Agent and have them record you rapping/singing over the phone.) If you are selected, you will be notified by email or text when it is time to schedule your recording with us over the phone; starting in July 2025. (Jot your communication preference in the comment section.)

(Note: GXR recommends you purchase the EP on JPay or Bandcamp at least two weeks before you record your demo, to ensure you write and perform your best work. In addition to featuring you on the EP, GXR may also offer to sign you as an artist; depending on your skills. Good luck!)
