Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Samsung) in relation to a possible repair or replacement of your Samsung product.
These terms and conditions (Terms) govern the assessment, repair or replacement service (Service) carried out by Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 002 915 648) of 3 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127, Australia, its agents and contractors (collectively, Samsung, we or us) on your Samsung product (Samsung Product).
Before Samsung is able to accept your product, please read this Samsung Repairer's Notice (Notice) carefully, and if you agree with its terms, please click the required check box and sign in the space provided at the bottom. Unfortunately, Samsung is unable to proceed until we receive a signed copy of this Notice.
1. Notice for user-generated data
Please ensure that you have made a copy of any data saved on your product as the repair of your product may result in the loss of any user-generated data.
User-generated data includes:
- files stored on a computer hard drive;
- telephone numbers stored on a mobile phone;
- songs stored on a portable media player;
- games saved on a games console; or
- files stored on a USB memory stick.
2. Notice for the use of refurbished goods and/or parts
The Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Regulations require that where a repairer sometimes uses refurbished parts to fix defective goods (rather than new parts), or sometimes replaces defective goods with a refurbished version, they must also give consumers the following notice before accepting goods for repair: Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.
3. Proof of purchase (purchase invoice)
Please have a copy of your proof of purchase available to show / provide the Samsung authorised technician at the time of your service booking.
The proof of purchase is required to check your original date of purchase for warranty purposes.
Your proof of purchase can be the electronic invoice emailed to you, a printed copy of this, the receipt received if your purchase was made in a physical store, or a photo / scan of the receipt.
4. Product accessibility
For health, safety, and accessibility reasons, the product must be located in an area with safe, reasonable, and unobstructed access. If the product is not easily accessible to a service technician, service may be cancelled or suitable access must be arranged.
5. Warranty Exclusions
In the event your product does not meet the Samsung warranty terms and conditions such as your product has suffered customer induced damage, improper use or is not an Australian product then charges may apply.
