Heat Press Service- Initial Uniform Set-Up

Let us customize your new Girl Scout uniform by applying the insignia to your new sash, vest, or tunic with our Heat Press Service! Skip the sewing! Add the Heat Press Service to your uniform order, and GSME staff will apply the insignia to your new uniform.

Heat Press Service is available while you wait:

Monday- 8:30am - 12:00pm

Thursday- 8:30am - 12:00pm

Any other time your items will be personalized within 2 GSME business days. We offer pick up service at both service centers, as well as shipping (additional cost.)

Please read the following carefully.

Eligible items for the Initial Uniform Set-Up are the vest, sash, or tunic, American Flag Patch, Council ID Set, Troop Numbers, and Troop Crest (optional). All items must be purchased at the same time as the Heat Press Service.

All Insignia will be placed according to the official GSUSA insignia placement guidelines. Work with a Girl Scout Store associate if you have special placement requests.

The Heat Press Service will add additional processing time to your order. We aim to have customized orders ready to ship or pickup within 5 business days.

By ordering this service, you have confirmed your custom design order and agree to the Terms and Conditions identified below. Custom order sales are final and ineligible for refunds or exchanges.

*Terms and Conditions
Girl Scouts of Maine agrees to heat-press earned awards, badges, patches, and/or insignia exclusively on garments sold in our stores or ordered online from The GSME Shop.
GSME will do our best to produce the best-looking garments following the uniform layouts approved by GSUSA. However, heat-pressing is subject to imperfections and/or other small inconsistencies.

GSME staff will follow a standard layout as follows:
• Badges, Earned Awards, and Insignia will be applied based on the approved uniform layouts from GSUSA. Badges and Journey awards will be applied from the bottom of the garment to the top of the garment.
• Fun Patches will be applied to the back of the garment and applied from the bottom of the garment to the top of the garment.

We will do our best to honor special requests for placement of awards and patches when possible. Please discuss any special requests with GSME store staff before ordering the heat-pressing service.
GSME is not responsible for the following:
• Customer ordering the wrong size or style of vest, sash, or tunic.
• Customer ordering the wrong troop number.
• Not being able to heat transfer earned awards or patches that do not include adhesive backing.
• Damage to insignia, badges, earned awards, or patches that are already on the garment at time of order.
• Customer does not like the placement of insignia, badges, earned awards, or fun patches.
• Material damage to garment from adhesive backing.
• Damage to garments after delivery to the customer.
• Degradation of adhesive due to humidity, temperature changes, exposure to weather, and/or washing and drying the uniform.
• Insignia, badges, earned awards, or patches that have been picked at or pulled off a garment.

Turn-Around Time
Our standard turn-around time is up to 5 business days. Please check with a store associate for a current estimate.

Payment
Payment for heat-pressing service is due in full at the time of order. All customized products are final sale and are not eligible for refund, return, or exchange.

Care Instructions
To ensure longevity of your uniform, we recommend spot cleaning when possible. If washing is necessary, remove all pins, machine wash cold, and hang to dry. Hot water and heat from drying may cause the adhesive to loosen. Items adhered with our heat-pressing service are estimated to stay on for approximately 25 washings, dependent on care.
