FLOW Facilitation Training Logistics
Spring 2026 Session Times
There are two sessions of this training that will run concurrently over the course of 15 weeks (12 weeks with three breaks). This application allows you to apply to either of the following course sessions:
Sundays: 8 February - 17 May, 5-8pm Eastern Time (U.S.). Skipping 1 March, 5 April, 10 May 2026 (check your time zone)
or
Tuesdays: 10 February - 19 May from 1-4pm Eastern Time (U.S.) Skipping 3 March, 7 April, 12 May 2026 (check your time zone)
**These sessions will take place over a time change in the United States, which may affect your meeting time. If you live outside of the U.S., please note that we are changing times on 8 March 2026. For those in the U.S., your clocks will spring forward by one hour.**
Time Commitment
We expect you to attend all 12 training sessions, barring extenuating and unforeseen circumstances. Because we are prioritizing small groups for this training, please only complete this application if you are available to attend each of the session times listed above.
We will meet for 3 hours per week, over the course of 15 weeks (12 weeks with three breaks). You will need to factor in another 2-3 hours per week for resources and out of course connection. Each week, we assign coursework on Mighty Networks to be completed before each session, and will suggest additional materials (e.g. articles, talks, podcast episodes etc..) to help you dig deeper afterwards.
We expect you to engage with the course, and by completing this application, you are indicating that you have the time and space in your schedule to dedicate to this training commitment.
Accessibility
Each training session call will be hosted on Zoom by LaUra Schmidt and Aimee Lewis Reau. Familiarity with the Zoom platform is recommended.
This training will be hosted in English. We would like to be able to offer this course in other languages, but are still a very small nonprofit organization and do not have that capacity at this time. We will use closed captions in each session.
GGN will host this course on our community-building platform, Mighty Networks. GGN will provide technological tutorials for those new to the platform, to help them get oriented.
Course Costs
We have three price tiers (in USD) for the 12 week course, which also includes 6 months enrollment in our Community of Practice membership:
Redistribution Rate: $1,750
Full Rate: $1,550
Solidarity Rate: $1,350
** Apply by 6 Jan to be eligible for our Early Bird Discount - $200 USD OFF **
Redistribution Rate: $1,550
Full Rate: $1,350
Solidarity Rate: $1,150
All applicants are asked to pay a USD $50 application fee that covers the cost of reviewing and processing your application. If accepted into the program, this cost will be substracted from your total payment. We offer all applicants the option to waive the fee (without any impact to your acceptance decision) if the fee is cost-prohibative to you applying.
Additionally, we offer the ability to pay in three payments over three months to all participants regardless of payment tier or scholarship level.
Scholarships & Work Exchanges
Scholarships
GGN offers a number of partial and full scholarships (35%, 50%, 100% - based on the regular full rate price) as well as work exchanges. Scholarships and work exchanges cannot be combined with other discounts.
GGN offers this training on a sliding scale, with several scholarships available to increase accessibility, but our resources are limited. Please consider your relative levels of privilege, power, and resources before applying for a scholarship. We have a limited number of scholarships in each tier and will be prioritizing folks from marginalized identities and limited access to financial resources.
If we cannot offer your first choice scholarship tier, applicants may be given the option to join a waitlist in the event that a scholarship becomes available closer to the course start date.
Work Exchanges
To expand GGN's ability to offer this training to as many folks as possible, we bolster our scholarship offerings with a number of work exchanges. These partnerships are based in mutual respect of our students and our team, acknowledging the extra time and resources that go into crafting each one.
Our exact work exchange offerings vary cycle to cycle (and applicant), but we typically offer two types of Work Exchanges:
- Facilitation Exchange: After successfully completing the course, you have 1 year to facilitate for GGN in exchange for course tutition. The options range and are discussed in consultation with the instructors and GGN team at the end of your training, but in the past have included facilitating:
- GGN 10-Step program
- GGN CoP events
- GGN workshops
- Blog posts or prompts for the GGN Journaling Program
- Community outreach events (e.g. tabling at farmer's markets, presenting at a conference etc...)
- Project Exchange: During the course, you complete a volunteer project (25 hours total) in exchange for course tutition. Details vary based on applicant skills and experience, as well as the needs of the GGN team, but examples in the past have included:
- Creating a portfolio of social media posts
- Marketing research project
- Volunteer outreach project
- Copyediting and translating GGN resources
To apply for scholarship or work exchange, select the "I am interested in a Scholarship and/or Work Exchange" option in the payment section later in the application and answer the additional questions that appear before submitting the form.
Please note, while you can apply to multiple scholarship tiers and/or a work exchange in the same application, if you decide to apply for a scholarship and/or WE, you are no longer eligible for the Early Bird Discount.
100% Scholarship and Work Exchange applicants should plan for a casual interview with the GGN team 1 - 2 weeks after submitting their applications.

Final Notes
You must complete this full application to be considered for this course. Because GGN is prioritizing small groups and participants with a diversity of lived experiences, not everyone who applies to this training will be accepted. GGN encourages you to apply for our next training if you don't make it into this one.
Application review starts in November and participants are accepted on a rolling basis until the first week of February. It's not too late to apply!
