1. STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE
GNSW is committed to the health, safety and welfare of the Gymnastics workforce and GNSW members by creating various educational and system improvements that Gymnastics clubs and it's workforce and volunteers are able to utilise. The aim in doing so is to maintain a safe environment and minimise and mitigate risks for workers, athletes and vistors to Gymnastics Clubs in NSW.
With the release of the Gymnastics NSW WHS Application in 2021- The Risk Management Solution (RMS), Gymnastics NSW continues to aim to mitgiate and minimise Risk for those involved in the sport.
The Risk Management Solution Induction process has been created alongside the existing GNSW Coach Induction Modules created in 2017. With both Induction processes completed GNSW aims to provide an overview of WHS Rights, Responsibilities and Manual processes in the Gym in conjunction with an Induction to the System itself.
Gymnastics NSW will always uphold the good work by SafeWork NSW to keep businesses and employees safe throughout WHS initatives and practices and will continue to seek and provide relevant industry information to Gymnastics Clubs.
2. SCOPE
This Induction applies to all Users of the Risk Management Solution including those whom:
1. Conduct Equipment Checks at an Affiliated Gymnastics Club
2. Are the club's nominated WHS personnel
3. hold a current Gymmastics Australia Coach Accredtiation
4. Are an administrator or Volunteer at an Affiliated Gymnastics club

4. PROMOTION
All participating coaches, volunteers and club owners must complete and confirm their understanding and agreement of the ’Gymnastics NSW Risk Management System Induction’’ prior to using the Risk Management Solution. The induction includes all of the requirements within this plan to ensure a comprehensive understanding by club owners, coaches and volunteers involved in Equipment Reviewing or moving processes.
5. REVIEW, ADDITIONS OR AMENDMENTS
This plan and associated protocols will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with changes made with little notice. In the event that the plan is amended, users will be contacted directly via email to notify them of the changes.
