GNSW Travel Sanction Request
  • GNSW Travel Sanction Request

  • A GNSW club or program wishing to compete at interstate events where it is not an over night stay is required to complete this form of their intent to travel to the event and seek approval for their participation at least 90 days prior to the anticipated departure date.

If a GNSW club or program wishing to compete at interstate/international events where an over night stay is required must inform GA via sport@gymnastics.org.au, ausgym@gymnastics.org.au and GNSW (this form) of their intent to travel to the event and seek approval for their participation at least 90 days prior to the anticipated departure date. Where required a club or program should discuss and gain the endorsement of their relevant State/Territory Association before submitting an application to GA. Please Refer to GA Travel Guidelines and Policy via the GA Website.

A GNSW club/program must ensure the event that they are seeking approval to attend is not conflicting with any GNSW or GA events, which may be selection trials for State or National Teams, GNSW Championships or National Championships. Should this occur, the GA/GNSW event will always take precedence and the application will be denied.

The club / program must compete for their club / program in their club / program uniform and must not be classified as an ‘Australian Team’.

Any request for overnight travel / stays for any child under the age of 12 as at the 1st January in the year of travel will be denied unless they are accompanied by a parent/s or guardian in order to protect the best interests of the child.

    Travel Insurance

Gymnastics NSW strongly recommends considering travel insurance for gymnasts attending the Australian Championships. In the unfortunate instance of lost luggage, cancelled flights or injury during the event, travel insurance may provide coverage for any costs which are not covered under the Gymnastics Australia participant insurance.
