 Essay Instructions 

In this next section, you will submit the student's personal statement describing their or their family’s farmwork and migrant experience, financial need, academic goals, and career goals. Essentially, they will explain why they should be awarded the HEP/CAMP Scholarship and how this award will help them achieve their goals.  

• Word count: approximately 500 words (1 page, single space)
• The essay must be written in English

1) I verify that the information included hereby is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that in order to be eligible for National HEP/CAMP Scholarship, the student must meet the minimum requirements listed in the Eligibility section of this application.

2) the student grants permission to the National HEP/CAMP Association, their Board members, and Scholarship Committee members, to use or publicly display quotations from the essay, sent as part of the scholarship application. The student understands that he/she will be acknowledged, with or without mention of their name, as the author of any sections taken from their essay.
