  • . . . and what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
    Micah 6:8

The Hosanna Youth Performers is an audition-based, student performance company for youth that ministers the love of God to the community through dance, while encouraging members of the troupe in their spiritual development. They accomplish this through: presenting their gift of DANCE in performances throughout the year, SERVING the staff and families of the Hosanna Dance Studio as well as community outreach projects, and through the encouragement to GROW in their relationship with God and deepen their knowledge of Jesus Christ and God's Word. The program is overseen by Director Tiese Morgan with support and leadership from the Hosanna Performing Arts Foundation Board of Directors.

    PURPOSE
Created for the purpose of bringing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our community through the art of dance, the Hosanna Youth Performers:

    DANCE
Presenting their gift of dance in performances throughout the year; at Hosanna Dance Studio recitals, special events, and by invitation in and beyond our community.

    SERVE
Serving the teachers, staff, and families of Hosanna Dance Studio by lovingly caring for young dancers during Spring Recital. Additional service projects with the purpose of reaching our surrounding community, are also scheduled during the year. Dancers also participate in global outreach by way of the Compassion International child-sponsorship program.

    GROW
Striving to grow and mature in their relationship with God and endeavor to honor others as image bearers of God in all their interactions. Members of the Hosanna Youth Performers are encouraged to seek a deepening understanding of Jesus Christ and God's Word through group or individual study of the Bible, prayer, worship, and fellowship. In addition, dancers are provided with the opportunity for spiritual development in their weekly rehearsals.

Fulfilling this purpose requires the wholehearted commitment of all of its members. The following pages of this packet outline the various commitments for both dancers and their family.

  • STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Hosanna Performing Arts Foundation and the Hosanna Youth Performers program believes that:
  • The Gospel is good news, the very best news anyone can hear. Children can understand it; it is so profound that the wisest theologians will never exhaust its riches.

The Gospel announces that God loved the world so deeply that He gave His Son to die on the cross for lost sinners, which we all are. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins. Christ’s resurrection makes ours possible. Whoever believes in Christ will not perish but has eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only Savior, the one and only mediator between God and humanity, the only hope of the world.

We believe all the Bible teaches about Jesus: His deity, His virgin birth and sinless life, His miracles and ministry, His bodily death, resurrection and ascension into heaven, His present ministry of intercession for us and His return to earth in power and glory.

We have experienced and therefore proclaim the life-transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the historic, Biblical Christian faith as summarized here:

The Bible in its entirety (all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired Word of God, inerrant in its original autographs, and the only infallible and sufficient authority for doctrine, faith, and conduct.

There is one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existent in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is equal in every divine quality and works in perfect unity with other members of the Trinity to bring about the sovereign purposes of God.

Man is, by nature, sinful and is inherently in need of salvation, which is exclusively found by faith alone in Jesus Christ and His shed blood.

Personal salvation is received through faith in the person and redemptive work of Jesus Christ alone, apart from any human merit, deed, or ritual. God regenerates, redeems, justifies, forgives, and gives eternal life to those who come to Him in faith. God’s faithfulness guarantees the eternal security of all true believers.

  • As a faith-based organization, we understand that not all Hosanna Youth Performers will share the same faith, and we do not require agreement with our statement of faith. We do ask, however, that all Hosanna Youth Performers acknowledged the vision and statement of faith and are respectful during the course of their involvement.

    Your signature below indicates:
