Recycling food scraps is one of the easiest and most effective ways to reduce household waste—and Danbury’s program makes it simple.

By completing this registration form, you’ll gain secure, 24/7 access to the City’s new Organics Smart Bin. Please note: program fees apply as outlined.

Danbury is committed to building a sustainable future. In partnership with the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority (HRRA), we’ve installed an Organics Smart Bin at the PAL Center (35 Hayestown Road). This bin is locked for security and can be accessed only through the free MetroKEY mobile app. Step-by-step instructions for downloading and using the app are available at:
