Important Registration Information
- Registration for non-audition based orchestras (Novice Strings, Intermezzo Orchestra, & Concert Orchestra) is now open! Registration for audition based orchestras (Philharmonia, Sinfonia, & HYS) will be open after audition results are announced.

- Before completing this form, please have any applicable discount or financial aid codes ready (see below). Tuition payment is required at the end to submit your registration.
Registration Codes
- Siblings: Families with multiple children in HYO receive a $50 discount for each additional child's registration after paying full tuition for the first child. Use the code HYOSibling at checkout to redeem.
- Financial Aid: If you need financial assistance or a payment plan to make joining HYO possible, please complete this form and wait for a response before registering. Requests can take 1-2 weeks for review and approval.

Agreements, Policies, Releases, & Waivers
Student Conduct Agreement

It is the expectation of the Huntsville Youth Orchestra that all students participating in the orchestras conduct themselves appropriately during the year. Students are expected to follow guidelines set forth by the HYO Staff and the Handbook. Participants are expected to treat facilities and equipment with the utmost care.
- Any student who is observed abusing or defacing any property will be asked to leave the rehearsal. There will be no refund of tuition in the event a student is expelled due to inappropriate behavior.
- Any type of illegal drug use to include, but not limited to, the smoking of cigarettes will lead to expulsion.
- Students will respect each other and staff at all times.
Both the Student and Parent/Guardian(s) have read and agree to the Student Conduct Agreement, including expectations for behavior and consequences for misconduct.
Photo Release

I give permission for the following selected photos or videos of my student to be used for publicity purposes for HYO events. Photos may be used on websites, social media platforms, or in printed materials. Photos of each orchestra will be taken and parents must agree in order for student to be included. No names will be published.

Concert Recordings

All HYO concerts will be recorded. Student names will not be included in the recordings. The HYO reserves the right to upload concert recordings to digital platforms such as Youtube.

HYO Liability Waiver

In consideration of participating in and Huntsville Youth Orchestra rehearsal, activity, or event, the undersigned acknowledges and agrees to the following for their student:

1. I accept and assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with COVID-19 and other transmittable viruses or diseases, and assume full responsibility for participating child and myself. 

2. I agree to waive, release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Huntsville Youth Orchestra, its conductors and staff, Board of Directors, and donors for any injury or illness. 

3. I release Huntsville Youth Orchestra and any venues used for rehearsals, concerts, and other HYO events of any liability and acknowledge through signature, to understand the terms and risks of participating in the Huntsville Youth Orchestra and hereby freely and voluntarily sign this agreement. 
I have read, understand, and agree to the HYO Liability Waiver.
Folder Agreement

Each Novice, Intermezzo, Concert, and Philharmonia student will be assigned a numbered heavyweight paperboard music folder at the beginning of the season.

Each Sinfonia and HYS student will be assigned a numbered leather music folder at the beginning of the season.

These folders are on loan from HYO and must be returned at the final spring concert in good condition. Folder numbers are recorded to track which student is responsible for each folder. If a folder is lost or returned with significant damage, the parent/guardian agrees to pay a $5 (paperboard folders) or $25 (leather folders) replacement fee.
I understand and agree to the above Folder Agreement.
Final Acknowledgment

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above agreements, policies, releases, and waivers on behalf of myself and the student. I also confirm that I have reviewed these agreements with the student to ensure their understanding and compliance.
