1. I agree to foster the cat(s) or dog(s) until they are adopted or healthy enough to return to Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. I take full responsibility to provide adequate food, shelter, and a loving environment. I will keep my fosters inside at all times.2. I understand that Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary does not knowingly misrepresent any animals age, condition of health, or temperament. I understand that Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary does not know how an animal will adapt to my home environment or if they will be a good fit. Should the foster animal(s) not adapt to my home within a reasonable timeframe I will contact and coordinate with the proper agent of Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary to return the foster animal(s).3. I understand that Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary does not guarantee the health or temperament of the foster pet and I release Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary, its agents, and associates from any and all liability for any harm or damage caused by this animal. In addition, Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary will not be responsible if the animal(s) should damage or destroy property belonging to me or if the animal(s) transfer any disease or internal/external parasites to other animals belonging to me.4. I agree to administer any medication(s) provided to me by a Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary approved veterinarian for my fosters as directed. I agree to contact the proper agent at Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary at the first signs of illness. I understand that all medical treatment needs to be approved by Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary and should an emergency occur I agree to take my foster(s) to the appropriate emergency vet.5. I understand that Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary reserves the right to inspect the foster home at any time to ensure suitability for these purposes even after the initial home visit.6. I understand that the foster animal is the sole property of Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary and cannot be given to anyone without the completion of the Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary adoption contract, Adoption Counselor (AC) screening, and paid adoption fee. Should I choose to adopt my foster animal(s), I agree to complete the adoption contract, AC screening, and pay the foil adoption fee.7. In the event of a medical issue with my foster animal(s), I agree to call the proper agent(s) of Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. I understand that I will not be reimbursed for any expenses not approved in advance by Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary unless it is an emergency situation.8. I agree to provide updates on the foster animals condition and adaptability status, and to do so in a timely manner as well as upon request.9. I am willing and able to transport my foster animal(s) to adoption locations and/or events as authorized and requested. If I am unable to do so I will communicate with the proper agent of Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. If I fail to communicate or transport as authorized and requested then Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary will designate me as the “adopter” and sole caregiver of my foster animal(s) and I will be solely responsible for future care, supplies, vaccinations, medications, and veterinary services for the animal(s)10. I agree that by signing this contract I am agreeing to at least a six month long commitment in where I can have more than one foster “litter’’or dog and will not leave the Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary foster program until my six month period is done should I choose to.11. I agree that as a foster I will contact the appropriate agent at Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary should I need to take a break in between foster, have an emergency, or go on vacation and agree to contact Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary once I am available for fostering again.12. I agree to return foster animal(s) upon request by Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary and that the animal(s) can be removed from my home by Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary if all the above conditions are not met.
