COC COMMITTEE - SIGN UP FORM
Please read the descriptions of each committee below and then select the committee you would prefer to serve on.
The Continuum of Care is seeking diverse voices on all committees. We need representation from youth, older adults, individuals with lived experience, LGBTQ+, Veterans, and members of minority communities. Meaningful change happens when the people most impacted are at the table. By joining a committee, participants help connect community partners and systems, collaborate across sectors to address housing instability, and cultivate solutions that are equitable, informed, and responsive to real needs. Your lived experience and perspective are not only valued, they are essential to strengthening the CoC and driving lasting change across the Treasure Coast.
Coordinated Entry Committee
The CoC Coordinated Entry (CE) Committee is working towards the goal of increasing the efficiency of local programs and improving fairness and ease of access to resources. The coordinated entry processes are intended to help our community effectively prioritize people who are most in need of housing and assistance. Committee members bring community knowledge to the table, knowledge that will be used to determine the best practices for our finalized coordinated entry program. The CE Committee Meets third Thursdays of each month from 11am - 1pm.
Prevention and Intervention Committee
The Prevention and Intervention Committee works to prevent homelessness and reduce returns to homelessness by strengthening early intervention strategies, housing stabilization efforts, and supportive services. The committee collaborates with outreach teams to support engagement and referral efforts and promotes opportunities for people with lived experience to access services, participate meaningfully, and achieve long-term stability. The P&I Committee meets monthly.
Housing Success Committee
This Committee will focus on ways to increase the availability of affordable housing for those who are unhoused. It will coordinate and improve housing-related tenant support services and improve the connection from shelter to housing. The committee will monitor and evaluate existing housing programs and foster partnerships with local housing authorities, housing and shelter agencies, and the private sector to expand housing resources and support. The measures, programs, and efforts covered under this committee includes rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, shared housing initiatives, transitional housing, shelter, etc. This committee will discuss the implementation of Housing First Principles amongst local programs. The goal is for housing initiatives of all types to work closely together and create a seamless process for those who are facing housing insecurity.
