Atlanta Team Challenge 2026

The race to 100 teams starts now.

Every child deserves a clean diaper, yet diaper need remains one of the most overlooked challenges facing families in our communities. Across Georgia, an estimated 175 million diapers are needed each year, and nearly 58% of young children living in low-income households experience diaper need.

When families can't afford these essentials, parents are often forced to make impossible choices between diapers, food, rent, or utilities. Together, we can change that.

• From September 1 – October 2, organizations across Georgia will compete in Team Challenge 2026—Helping Mamas' annual giving competition. 
• Businesses, schools, civic groups, faith communities, neighborhood organizations, families, and friends will collected diapers and/or monetary donations, your team will help close the basic needs gap while competing for the title of League Champion.
  
• Last year, Team Challenge participants collected more than $50,000 and 300,000 diapers, providing critical support to families across our community. This year, we're aiming even higher—and we need leaders like you to make it happen.

Whether you're returning for another season or joining Team Challenge for the first time, we're excited to have you on the roster.

 

What Does a Team Captain Do?

As Team Captain, you'll be the leader of your organization's Team Challenge season. Don't worry—we'll provide the tools, resources, and support you need every step of the way.

As Team Captain, you'll:

• Register and lead your team throughout the campaign.
• Recruit coworkers and friends to participate.
• Share Team Challenge updates and weekly standings.
• Coordinate your team's collection efforts and online fundraising.
• Schedule your team's donation drop-off.

Most captains spend just a little time each week keeping their team engaged, and many tell us Team Challenge becomes one of their favorite annual traditions.

To ensure a fun and fair competition, this year teams will compete in leagues based on the type of organization you will represent. Please select the league that best matches your team. Helping Mamas may adjust league placement to ensure balanced competition across all divisions.
