APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

This application is for USHE employees who wish to attend a USHE institution as a student, which is different from where they are currently employed. Recipients may receive a scholarship of up to 50% of tuition and fees, subject to an annual award cap set due to program demand. This application is only for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must reapply for the scholarship annually to continue receiving funds.
Key Application Requirements
All applicants must:
- Be employed full-time at a USHE institution (awardees must remain employed full-time at a USHE institution to remain eligible).
- Be admitted as a student to a USHE institution that is different from the institution where the applicant is currently employed and has declared intent to enroll.
- Pursue a program of study leading to a certificate, degree, or other credential related to their current job duties or a related career progression.
- Must be enrolled as a matriculated student. Continuing education, professional education, or other non-credit courses/certificates are not eligible.

In accordance with Utah State code, renewal recipients may receive an award for up to 4 years from their initial award date, they use the award for 8 semesters, or complete an eligible program, whichever occurs first.
Information required for this application:
- Enrollment information for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- A brief explanation for why you are enrolling at a different institution from where the applicant is employed (500 words or less).
- A letter of approval on institutional letterhead (by your employing institution) from a Dean, Assistant Vice President, Director (or any more senior employee) stating that your educational pursuit is related to your current job duties or related career progression.
