Overview: Ho-Chunk, Inc.'s employee donations program, Ho-Chunk Way, was founded in 2017 to build on our company mission of providing a better way of life for the Winnebago Tribal community. To date, Ho-Chunk, Inc. employees have helped to raise over $700,000 for our local community.
An applicant's primary purpose and program services provided to the tribal community must align with the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s priorities;
- Youth
- Education
- Jobs
- Housing
- Elders
Eligibility and Criteria: Ho-Chunk Way is designed to benefit non-profit, tribal, government or educational entities that provide services to community members within the Winnebago Indian Reservation. The organization/program does not need to be a tribal entity, but must provide services that benefit the local Winnebago community.
Eligible Winnebago community organizations and programs include:
- Nonprofit or not-for-profit
- Tribal or Government Entity
- Education Institution
- Community Program
**Requests for operational or staffing costs are excluded.
**Non-selected applicants may reapply during future funding cycles.
**Previous Ho-Chunk Way awardees are eligible to reapply after 5 years.
Applicants must attach the following documents;
- Detailed project plan narrative
- Detailed project budget plan
- Program flyer or brochure (optional)
- Completed W-9 form (download the form here: irs.gov/forms)
