2025 Hottest Men in Anime Application

Greetings and welcome to the application for the Hottest Men in Anime Contest held at Holiday Matsuri!

Hottest Men in Anime is a małe-cosplay skit performance contest that is held every year at Holiday Matsuri. All are welcome to apply.

This event is an 18+ event

Performers must be 18 years or older at the time of application in order to apply.

What is needed to apply:
- Complete Application
- A dance video (45 seconds or longer) highlighting your dancing skills. (Video may be different than planned performance if accepted. )
Please Note: Though this event takes place at Holiday Matsuri, Hottest Men in Anime is a third party event. Applications submitted for Hottest Men in Anime go directly to the HMiA team; the Holiday Matsuri staff will not have any information regarding the status of an application.

Rules of the Show
- Performers must follow the Holiday Matsuri Code of Conduct at all times. Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in the removal of the Performer from the show and the convention.
- All those involved, and performers must have a badge or wristband permitting access to Holiday Matsuri 2024.
- In order to apply for the HMiA Contest, each applicant must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission of this application.
- Contestants must arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the show start time to confirm their audio and set order. If a performer is not checked in 45 minutes prior to the show start time, their set will be removed.
- Performances must be at least 2 minutes in length. Lengthy performances may be asked to be cut down.
- No alcohol is permitted on stage.
- Performers who are visibly intoxicated will have their set skipped.
- No explosives or expellant devices (including but not limited to: Party Poppers, Bang Snaps or Air Cannons) may be used.
- Glitter can only be used if it is sealed on a performer's body and may not be transferred.
- The use of Liquids must be pre-approved by HMiA Performance Group and Holiday Matsuri.
- Exposure or graphic representation of genitalia is prohibited.
- Performers may not touch members of the audience.
- Performers may only be on stage during their set, when waiting in the wing for their set, or when receiving an award.
- Only performers, Holiday Matsuri Staff, and HMiA Staff are permitted to be backstage.
