Our Activity Specialists are licensed and credentialed professionals who lead pillar programming sessions for campers across a wide range of ages. Please complete this application in full. • CAMP AND ROLE SELECTION

  • Hangout Group Share Facilitator
You'll lead small, age-grouped conversations for campers and families navigating an ALS journey — Adventurers (6–10), Hikers (11–13), and Guides (14–17). Sessions are guided by a reflection framework rooted in our annual camp theme. We're looking for licensed therapists, social workers, or grief counselors with experience supporting children or families affected by serious illness or loss.

  • Thoughtful Art Facilitator
You'll guide campers through intentional, theme-based art experiences designed to help them express what's hard to put into words — and lead the reflective conversation that connects what they made to what they're carrying. This role requires both clinical awareness and creative facilitation skill. We're looking for registered art therapists, grief counselors, or mental health professionals with a background in expressive arts and experience working with children or families.

  • Mindfulness Facilitator
You'll lead age-appropriate sessions — yoga, breathwork, grounding activities, guided meditation — that give campers practical tools for managing big feelings they can take home with them. This is skill-sharing in a community setting, not clinical intervention. We're looking for certified yoga instructors, meditation teachers, or wellness practitioners with experience working with children, teens, or families.

  • Music and Motion Facilitator
You'll lead sessions where campers translate their inner world into sound and movement — rhythm, instruments, song, dance, and collaborative music-making. The format is yours to design; Camp HLC provides the framework and theme. We're looking for music directors, therapeutic music practitioners, or music educators with experience working with children, teens, or families in community or emotional support settings.

  • The Skill Studio Facilitator
You'll lead activity-based sessions — games, creative play, movement, storytelling — where emotional skill-building happens through the doing. Beyond your sessions, you serve as a 1:1 support resource available to campers throughout the weekend. We're looking for Certified Child Life Specialists or mental health professionals with experience in play-based or activity-based support for children and teens.
