House Mum Application

Are you a natural nurturer who loves turning a house into a home?

At House Mum, we're a premium housekeeping and household management service, and our Home Assistants are the trusted extra pair of hands behind some of South East Queensland's busiest families. We're also a village. We understand the juggle of family life, which is why we offer flexible days and hours so you can be there for the moments that matter in your own home.

What you can expect as part of the House Mum team

$34 per hour plus superannuation
Choose two, three, four or five days around your life
A complete starter kit with everything you need from day one
A warm, encouraging team and a place in the House Mum village

Your role

You'll care for one to two homes per day, guided by each family's priorities and your own eye for what needs doing. Many of our clients have full-day or multi-day services, giving you the opportunity to take real ownership of how their household runs.

Your days may include:

Meal prep and kitchen organisation
Laundry, ironing and linen changes
Tidying, decluttering and organisation
Unpacking groceries and restocking essentials
Running errands
Keeping the home beautifully presented
Small touches make all the difference

We love reading the cues a family gives us and going above and beyond:

Folding back blankets and laying out pyjamas when a family mentions a late night ahead
Presenting fresh towels beautifully when guests or house sitters are expected
Quietly replenishing products you notice are running low
