Illinois Art Station offers a unique visual arts education experience for homeschool students. Art Elements is a multi-week program that focuses on creative expression and skill development. The program is intended for any child 6-11 or 12-18 currently participating in a homeschool curriculum. Three sections (6 class sessions each) are offered this Spring 2025. Young/teen artists are welcome to take one, two, or three sections (within their age group) in a season.
Cost: $100 per participant per section (each section includes 6 class sessions)
When: Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (ages 6-11) and 2:30-4:30 p.m. (ages 12-18)
Section 1: January 10 - February 14, 2025
Section 2: February 28 - April 4, 2025
Section 3: April 18 - May 23, 2025
Adults are welcome to drop their children off at the start of each program and return for pick-up at 12 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. respectively.
Registration for Art Elements is limited to (20) young/teen artists per section.
Illinois Art Station understands and appreciates the value of keeping sibling groups together (should that be preferred) and is able and willing to accommodate requests for young artists to attend either section so they can participate with their siblings.
Elementary-aged artists can expect to explore many different modes and mediums of art, with activities changing each week. Teen artists can expect to devote time to a singular project (still with exploration of different mediums) over the course of 6 weeks.
NOTE: A complete registration form must be submitted for each young/teen artist participating in Art Elements Spring 2025.
