Illinois Art Station is a new and nimble organization that welcomes the interest of volunteers ready and willing to help us provide children, youth, and their families – from all neighborhoods and backgrounds – with transformative learning through hands-on experiences in the visual arts.

At this time, Illinois Art Station does not offer weekly volunteer opportunities, but is in need of volunteers with a range of skills who are willing and able to work with us on a seasonal and case-by-case basis.

By completing this form, you are expressing your interest in serving Illinois Art Station and its mission, with the understanding that there may not be immediate opportunities to volunteer depending on the needs of IAS at the time. Thank you for supporting IAS as we scale to best serve our young artists and their families.

IAS volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older. All volunteers 18+ must undergo a background check before engaging in volunteer opportunities at IAS. Prospective volunteers ages 16-17 are also encouraged to apply so that we know of your interest.

Illinois Art Station engages in a range of programs and activities that may align with a wide variety of interests and skill sets. Please select the volunteer opportunities and/or areas that interest you most.*

Saturdays at the Station (desk): welcome visitors, sell admissions and registrations, oversee small art making activities. Saturdays from 10-2.Saturdays at the Station (studio): assist with studio art making for young artists ages 3-14+ and their families. Saturdays from 10-2.Classes: assist with facilitating seasonal classes and activities for children, youth, and teens. Mostly Fall and Spring weekdays (including mornings, afternoons, early evenings)Birthdays: assist with high energy and celebratory art making.
