• IAWP 2021-2022 Officer and Director at Large Nominations

      Nomination Chair, Mary Rogers invites members to submit nominations for Vice-President, President-Elect, and two Director-At-Large positions. 

      Below, you will find the minimum qualifications below for both officers and directors at large. Click here to read about duties of each specific position.

      To complete a nomination, complete all sections of the nomination form below AND attach required documents.  Incomplete nominations will not be reviewed by the Nominations Commitee.

      Nominations are due by 5:00 PM Central on Friday, March 26, 2021.  Please direct questions to steve@iawponline.org.

       

      QUALIFICATIONS FOR
      OFFICERS

      1. Workforce, Senior Workforce, Retired Workforce, or Emeritus Workforce member who is current on dues.

      2. Continuous IAWP membership for the last five years;

      3. Served as a chapter president or in a leadership role on the international board (officer, director, committee chair, committee coordinator or liaison);

      3. Attended and participated actively in at least one recent Workforce Development Conference;

      4. Experience in leading groups and/or previous board experience;

      5. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications skills;

      6. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the workforce profession;

      7. Active in the promotion of IAWP in their community;

      8. The ability to dedicate 10-15 hours a week to IAWP during regular business hours;

      9. The ability to participate in and, when necessary, travel to meetings and events. This includes executive committee meetings, board of director meetings, state and chapter meetings, and the annual Workforce Development Conference;

      10. If currently working, letter of support of from your organization’s leadership.

      QUALIFICATIONS FOR
      DIRECTORS AT LARGE

      1. Workforce, Senior Workforce, Retired Workforce, or Emeritus Workforce member who is current on dues;

      2. To have continuous IAWP membership for the last three years;

      2. Experience in leading groups and/or previous board experience;

      3. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications skills;

      4. Demonstrates strategic thinking;

      5. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the workforce profession;

      6. Active in the promotion of IAWP in their community;

      7. If located in an area with a chapter, letter of support from the chapter. If not, signatures of at least ten Workforce, Senior, and/or Emeritus Workforce Development Professional members in good standing;

      8. If currently working, letter of support of organization's leadership.
