Uniform Information
- All returning players who participated during the 2025-2026 season can use their uniform from last season; unless a new size is needed. (reversible jersey, reversible shorts and shooting top)
- All new players are required to purchase a new uniform package.
- Parents will be responsible for purchasing any replacement items or size changes needed for returning players and new players.

2026-2027 Program Plans and Scheduling
Pre-K & Kindergarten Division (Intramural) (Ages 4-6)
For the 2026–2027 season, DeWitt Youth Basketball will be entering its third year offering Pre-K basketball. This year, we are proposing a separate intramural division for Kindergarten players, depending on registration numbers.
In previous seasons, Kindergarten players participated alongside 1st and 2nd grade players. After evaluating the past four seasons, we believe a separate Kindergarten division would provide a more age-appropriate playing experience for our youngest athletes, allowing them to develop fundamental basketball skills, build confidence, learn teamwork and enjoy the game.
If registration numbers allow, Pre-K and Kindergarten will have separate divisions. If there are not enough players to form multiple teams in each division, Pre-K and Kindergarten players may be combined into one intramural division.
Games are planned for Sundays, following the same schedule used for our Pre-K games over the past two years. Additional details regarding team divisions and game schedules will be communicated once registration numbers have been determined.
1st Grade Through 6th Grade (Travel Teams) (Ages 7-12)
Players in 1st through 6th grade will participate on travel teams that compete against other communities throughout the season. Games will be played primarily on Saturdays, with some games scheduled during the week.
The travel program focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive game experience while representing DeWitt Youth Basketball.
Our goal is to provide every player with the opportunity to learn, develop, and enjoy basketball at a level appropriate for their age and experience.
Practice Plans & Important Information
Practices: Practice days and times will depend on coach availability and gym scheduling. Practice information is expected to be posted on October 28, 2026.
Game Schedules: Expected to be posted in mid-November 2026.
Coaching Assignments: Coaches will be announced once teams have been formed.
