  • For this question, we want to take you on a little 360° excursion into the fascinating miniature park “Little Harz”, where you can find replicas of some of the most important buildings and landmarks in the Harz region. The park is not far away from the center of Wernigerode and offers many insights into the region.

  • The Auditorium of the Gerhart-Hauptmann Gymnasium (High School), where we will be offering Friendship Concerts, as well as Individual Coachings, has survived many wars and fires in Wernigerode.

  • The Festival and Competition in Wernigerode is known as the International Johannes-Brahms Choir Festival and Competition. Some of the competition categories therefore require the choirs to include one of Brahms’ choral works. One of his best known a cappella compositions is the three-movement choral work “Fest- und Gedenkspüche”, composed for double choir.

  • The Johannes-Brahms competition in 2025 will be the second edition taking place in the new Konzerthaus Liebfrauen Wernigerode. Originally a Gothic church, the building has been beautifully restored and transformed into a modern concert hall. It now offers impressive acoustics and an elegant atmosphere for concerts, theater performances, and other cultural events.

  • Would you like to experience a journey back in time aboard a historic steam train? It’s another big highlight of the Harz region! Follow the way of the famous Brockenbahn in the Harz region virtually here! It ends on Germany’s highest railway station at 1125 meters.
