Conversation 2.56 - Loving Our Neighbor
  • Character and Courage- Loving Your Neighbor and Your Enemy

    a Conversation of Consequence
  • Wars and conflicts between people have happened throughout history. But throughout history, individuals have risen up to bring people together. This Conversation will look at historical figures like US President Abraham Lincoln, Pastor Trocme of Le Chambon, France, and young Ruby Bridges of Alabama. Dr. Quick and Andre Chan will lead us in considering what strength of character enables one to stand up for peace. And how we might act in our time of history and in our own relationships.

  • Goal of CoC: We use a moderated conversation about topics that affect us personally and the communities around us.

We want to deepen our understanding of the current topic and gain fresh perspectives from both the  other participants and the readings. We welcome the challenge - each of us - to apply new understanding. Finally, we hope the gatherings will cultivate community among regular participants.
