Competition Details
An Invitation to residents of New England to participate in IAGB Republic Day 2025 Competitions. The competitions will be held on January 25, 2025 (Saturday) in Burlington High School.
Rules and Regulations
- Competition Description - Participants will present a story in English to the judges during their category’s assigned time.
- Competition is open to two categories
- Category A - Elementary School (Grades K-2)
- Category B - Elementary School (Grades 3-5)
- Submission Deadline - Midnight of Saturday, January 18, 2025

- For Category A - Elementary School (Grades K-2)
Narrate any folk tale. Folk tales are stories from different cultures meant to share values and/or explain something in the natural world and are passed from one generation to the next generation
- For Category B - Elementary School (Grades 3-5)
Narrate any fable. Fables are short stories typically with animals as characters conveying a moral or lesson
- No props/paper copy/slide deck presentations/charts are allowed during the Story presentation.
- The story presentation will need to be 3 min or under.

- Participation and/or Work Submission must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
- The panel of Judges will select the winners for each competition. Judges’ decisions will be final. Winners will be announced during the IAGB Republic Day 2025 Program from 4 PM - 8 PM.
- IAGB reserves the right to cancel the competition or combine categories if sign-up for participation is limited.
