  • IMA Ambassador Outreach Program Application

  • Introduction

  • The Ambassador Committee

A group of IMA members who are passionate about the organization. Committee representatives will act as ambassadors to promote companies to join, sponsor or attend events. Using your network of contacts, you can help multiply the voice of the manufacturing industry by promoting IMA and expanding its reach.

    The Role of an Ambassador

As an ambassador representing the Idaho Manufacturing Alliance (IMA), you play a vital role in advancing our mission and values of the organization. This Code of Ethics serves as a guideline to ensure that all ambassadors uphold the highest standards of integrity, respect, and professionalism in their interactions and responsibilities.

  • Ambassador Connections

  • Ambassadors will connect with existing and future members or engagers by –

    ·         Going wherever your “day job” takes you – community events or meetings and discovering connections that may benefit from engagement with IMA events or members.

    ·         Connecting with your existing clients presenting IMA as an added value of working with your organization. You are a trusted resource for your existing clients, and if IMA offers benefits and resources they need, you can guide them to those resources and help them grow their business.

    ·         Each Ambassador will determine their desired “outreach load”. The outreach load is how many members an Ambassador has committed to support.  An Ambassador may also choose between new members, dropped members, or a combination as the focus of their outreach load assignment. We do not want to overburden our Ambassadors with too much, so we respect the capacity of each individual Ambassador as communicated to us. The Ambassador can adjust their outreach load at any given time. 30 days notice is preferred if the outreach load is reduced.

    ·         IMA will provide all Ambassadors with access to an online outreach materials bank to pull presentation materials, hand-outs, and other promotional resources.

    ·         Ambassadors will have an “Ambassador Circle” (similar to organizational chapters) access in the IMA CRM to only their assigned members in order to document engagement points, member needs and requests, and to assign themselves or staff with necessary follow-up.  See New Member Workflow document for guidance.

    ·         Ambassadors will ideally work with a “buddy ambassador or Co-Ambassadors” to support the outreach load by providing coverage and support for each other.  Two Ambassadors working as Co-Ambassadors cannot be from the same.

  • Ambassadors Communicate the value of IMA (the “Why”)

  • Ambassadors Communicate the value of IMA (the “Why”)

Ambassadors need to fully understand the value IMA brings to Idaho’s manufacturing industry statewide.  It’s not up to the business to know IMA’s value, it’s up to us, collectively, to continually communicate the value in a way that is relevant to business’ needs.

Here is a high-level understanding of the value –

    10 second elevator pitch:

The Idaho Manufacturing Alliance (IMA) is the voice of Idaho’s manufacturing industry, uniting over 200 members and advocating for all 2,200 manufacturers statewide. Together, we represent a $21.5 billion industry driving Idaho’s economy forward.

The 3 Reasons that support the Why >>> How.  These are the 3 principles that guide IMA activities and benefits:

The Idaho Manufacturing Alliance (IMA) champions the growth and success of Idaho’s manufacturing industry through three guiding principles: Connect, Support, and Promote.

Connect: IMA brings manufacturers together by hosting events, training sessions, and networking opportunities. These platforms foster collaboration, share industry best practices, and strengthen relationships across the manufacturing community.

Support: IMA provides essential resources to empower Idaho manufacturers. From workforce development initiatives and talent pipeline support to sourcing assistance for existing businesses and those considering relocation, IMA ensures the manufacturing sector has the tools to thrive.

Promote: IMA advocates for the industry by uniting manufacturers to influence key policies and regulations. By showcasing the economic and career benefits of manufacturing, IMA enhances public perception and attracts talent to build a robust workforce for the future.

With these principles at its core, IMA cultivates a dynamic and prosperous environment for manufacturers, contributing to the economic vitality of Idaho.
