SESSION FORMAT
As we pivot into a new hybrid conference format, we are accepting both in-person and virtual sessions this year! Utilizing the virtual event app to kick off the event on August 1st, we have potential to support virtual sessions before and during our the Northwest Immunization Conference 2023, but will give priority to in-person sessions for the August 8th event. Depending on how many session abstracts are submitted, we may have to consider pivoting some presentations to a Poster Session format due to scheduling constraints. Please read below for information regarding all session formats and select the session format that would be most suitable for your presentations.
IN-PERSON: Speakers will attend our Northwest Immunization Conference in Tualatin, Oregon on August 8th to present to a live audience and virtual attendees. Immunize Oregon and the Planning Committee will support AV needs to ensure your session is projected for both audiences and share session materials/recordings with members (as applicable).
VIRTUAL: These sessions will can be held the before or during the August 8th event. Presentations can be pre-recorded or live streaming depending on the speaker preferences. Based on last year's conference, we have found that the live presentation with a live Q&A following was more enjoyable and engaging for both the speaker and the audience. Speakers can record their presentations using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, etc. If you need help recording your presentation, or copyright protections restrict you from recording, please reach out to the Event Chairs Jessica Daniels and Molly Sax at nwic@immunizeor.org and we can work with you.
POSTER SESSION: Utilizing our event platform, we are able to showcase presentations as poster sessions both virtually and in-person. The virtual poster session allows space for presentations to be pre-recorded and uploaded so attendees are able to watch at their leisure the week prior to the August 8th event. This will give flexibility for speakers to attend in-person to share their poster, stream a presentation virtually through the app, or both.
