Application for an International Trip

Deposit: A deposit of $500 (Non-refundable) is required with the submission of your application

Please note: Standard Registration includes international flights based on an estimated cost of $1,550 per person. If the actual cost of flights exceeds $1,550, the difference will be the responsibility of the traveler and will be invoiced separately prior to departure. Any seating requirements will be invoiced separately.

Note: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. If it expires before that, you must renew before applying.

Travel insurance is required for all IMI trip participants. Your policy must cover trip cancellation, emergency medical, evacuation, and baggage loss. If you do not currently have travel insurance, you must obtain and submit proof of coverage no later than 30 days before your departure date. Failure to provide proof of travel insurance may result in removal from the trip. IMI recommends AIG Travel Guard or Allianz Travel Insurance.

• I understand and agree that if any of the health conditions listed above apply to me, I am required to obtain and provide a signed Physician Release Form before participating in this trip.
• I understand and agree that Indigenous Ministries International reserves the right to request a signed Physician Release from my healthcare provider before travel based on any medical information I have provided.
• I understand and agree that I am required to provide consent to release health care information as necessary for my trip participation, including information related to diagnosed or treated mental health conditions, or drug and/or alcohol use that may affect my safe participation.
• I certify that I am the named applicant on this form and that all medical and health information I have provided is true and accurate. I understand that if I omitted or failed to disclose relevant medical information, Indigenous Ministries International reserves the right to deny or cancel my trip participation at any time. I fully release Indigenous Ministries International from liability for any medical situation that occurs during the trip. I understand that if a medical situation arises that compromises my safe participation, I am fully responsible for any associated costs and may be sent home at my own expense.

I authorize Indigenous Ministries International staff members, US or Indigenous, to obtain medical treatment for me in the event of injury or illness and agree to pay any expenses incurred for treatment.

As of January 2025, all IMI trip guests are required to complete a background check through SecureSearchPro. You will receive a link via email after your application is submitted. The background check fee is not covered by your trip expenenses.

Indigenous Ministries works with nationals to encourage, train, and lift them up in their own countries so that many will be reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are privileged to minister alongside some of God's choicest servants.

It is our prayer that as you see the Indigenous work going on truly through indigenous peoples, and that your heart will be challenged and stirred to engage with your prayers, love and as the Lord leads, with sponsoring children and Bible college students on our fields. We also have larger projects which we will share with you so you can see the continued ministry vision in the fields you are visiting.

We also ask that you help us get the word out in your church and with those who also value ministering with nationals for effective harvests.

The "footprint" we seek to leave is spiritual. Although Indigenous Ministries does financially support nationals on various levels, the ultimate goal is to bring them to the point of self-support. We encourage the focus to be a dependency on the Lord, not promoting a growing dependency on Western funds.

While overseas, do not give your personal information, "friend" someone through social media, give financial gifts, commit to giving any financial gift or engage in any conversation with the topic of immigration. This is covered with the separate document, Indigenous Ministries Visitation and Travel Code of Conduct which all travelers are required to sign. Please read carefully before signing.

We know the Lord uses these times to stir hearts to help. If you feel the Lord is leading you to financially support a pastor, church, or Bible College student or sponsor a child in the Child Sponsorship Program you meet who is unsponsored during or after this ministry time, we encourage you to get involved.

Please send all financial gifts through our US office to ensure they go to the right area and avoid confusion or hard feelings. This applies to when you are on the field and after returning to the US.

I acknowledge that I have volunteered to participate in traveling on this trip with Indigenous Ministries. I hereby agree to accept any and all risk of injury and verify this statement by placing my signature below. I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue, or attach the property of Indigenous Ministries International, its directors, officers, agents, employees, or volunteers. This release is intended to be broad in its effect.

• I understand that I am a part of an Indigenous Ministries team and will conduct myself in a way that honors the boundaries of this ministry, including honoring cultural differences.
• I agree to adhere to the Indigenous Ministries itinerary and will not add or subtract from it when traveling when there have been special arrangements made in advance.
• I agree not to distribute my personal contact information while on the field. I will not accept social media friend requests or send my contact information during or after my trip.
• I agree to represent the Indigenous Ministries Statement of Faith in and through my personal conversations, messages, and any teaching sessions or devotions given (found on Indigenous Ministries website: indigenousministries.org/about-us/statement-of-faith/). While I may have some slight personal differences, in the interest of unity and consistency, I agree not to initiate conflict in this area, which could confuse the audience.
• I further agree that any money I or the church(es) I represent wish to give to the overseas field will go through the Indigenous Ministries USA office with Dee Cook's full knowledge and approval.
• Furthermore, I release Indigenous Ministries and its officers of any liability with regard to this trip before, during, or after the trip.

All checks should be made out to Indigenous Ministries. Indigenous Ministries will not be able to give tax credit for your International Vision Trip. However, any gifts given for the ministry are tax deductible. Indigenous Ministries is a tax deductible 501(c)(3). EIN: 30-0190690

All applications are reviewed by Indigenous Ministries CEO and board and are subject to approval. Applications are accepted on a case by case basis. Indigenous Ministries reserves the right to terminate an applicant's trip approval before or during a trip. If an applicant's behavior is unacceptable during the trip, the CEO reserves the right to send the applicant home at his or her own expense at any time.
