    Express yourself through rhythm!

    Students learn new beats, play in unison and as soloists, using percussion instruments such as congas, djembes, or tongue drums.

    This 10-week program will introduce students to the core concepts of chess while developing skills beyond the chessboard. Our curriculum starts with the basics, including piece movements and fundamental rules, then progresses to tactical strategies, opening principles, and endgame techniques. The program is tailored for all levels of players looking to advance their skills.

    "Acting Out! A Journey from Improv to the Stage"
    An immersive, two-act theatre experience

    Embark on a creative adventure through the world of theatre and improv with Acting Out! A Journey from Improv to the Stage. This two-part class is designed to take you from the fundamentals of improvisational theatre to the exhilarating final performance of an original play. Whether you've performed before or a complete beginner, this class is for you.

    Introduction to Ceramics

    Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm

    Location: Arts & Crafts Room

    Ages 8+

    Dates:  Jan 12 – May 18

     Instructor/company: Anna Shvets

    This interactive course focuses on learning ceramics techniques and refining essential visual art skills. Students will learn how to manipulate clay using methods such as pinch pots, coil building, score-and-slip, slab construction, and sculpting. As they practice these techniques, the students will upgrade their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. They will also develop their ability to measure and control proportions, and work with different textures and forms.

    Additionally, students will gain an understanding of how to join pieces of clay together securely, ensuring strong and durable creations. By the end of the course, the students will have gained valuable skills that can be applied to other art forms and everyday tasks.

    Dance (Hip-Hop)

    In our hip-hop dance class for 8-13 year olds, students will learn exciting moves and rhythms while exploring the creative and energetic style of hip-hop. The class focuses on building confidence, coordination, and teamwork through fun routines and the latest dance trends. Whether beginners or experienced, each dancer will have the chance to express themselves and improve their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
