We are excited and appreciate your interest in sharing your ideas for a Spark Session at our annual JFK School of Psychology and Social and Behavioral Sciences (JFKSOPSS) Virtual Student Research Conference – Building Bridges: Stories and Strategies from Immigrant Faculty and Students.
Spark Sessions will allow you to share research ideas that are in the beginning or planning stages and have not yet been completed. Spark Sessions must be focused on topics relevant to the conference theme, including immigrant issues and/or social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Spark Session Format: presenters will be asked to share 5 minutes about their research idea, and then open the remaining 5 minutes to the conference attendees/participants for their feedback and suggestions regarding feasibility, resources, ideas, and directions that the presenter (emerging researcher) can consider. Total time – 10 minutes.
The period for the submission of proposals is now open and has a deadline of 5pm PT on January 31st, 2025. Please complete the form below to provide details about your research idea for a Spark Session, and a member of the conference committee will follow up with you directly. You will receive a confirmation email once you’ve submitted the form.
Conference dates are February 20th and 21st, 2025 from 9-1130am PT (12-230pm ET).
