This coverage is for any non-motorized watercraft racing, festivals, demonstrations, cruises, workshops, kayak and canoe camping, kayak/canoe angling, training camps, SUP, floats, indoor /outdoor ergo-meter, kayak angling, sailing regattas; biathlons and triathlons (all athlons must include a non motorized watercraft leg). Class III-IV is class III with periodic stretches of class IV - must be predominently class III.

Due to a number of organizers/hosts providing incorrect information when requesting endorsements it is now MANDATORY that you provide a copy of the entities insurance requirements (eg a copy of the permit requirements, agreement, or copy and paste the exact wording the entity requires on the endorsement). Endorsements are issued by our insurance company and repeated changes due to incorrect information provided delays processing. Requests for changes will not be given priority it will be processed in the order it was received and can take 3-5 days. If you are not sure of specific wording requirements contact the entity BEFORE submitting this application. DO NOT GUESS.

ELECTRONIC WAIVERS:

An electronic waiver system is available for event organizers to access. Your organization/club name and/or logo can be added to the system waiver. We recommend using a generic email address for the signed waiver notifications to go to to avoid clogging up personal email.

If you have multiple events during the year you will be able to use the same system once your prior event has been archived and we have updated the waiver with current event information. You will not be required to mail or email copies of club waivers as our office will download from the database.

You will be given a link for the waiver. The link can be placed on your registration website, social media page or emailed to registrants. Access to a back office to view and download all signed waivers will be provided. Up to 8 users can be assigned access to the back office if multiple people need to check who has signed.

The cost to setup and store data is $35 annually.

Submission of this application confirms our desire to obtain insurance through the sports, leisure, & entertainment risk purchasing group. A Risk Purchasing Group is a legal entity that allows a group of unassociated entities with similar risk profiles to join together to purchase insurance. The program was established under the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act of 1986.

I hereby certify that this event will be held in accordance with the requirements of Paddlesport Risk Management, LLC (PRM); U.S. Coast Guard requirements or state laws, whichever is stricter. I further acknowledge that the insurance information packet containing the rules, regulations, and responsiblities with regard to our event have been downloaded and will be provided to participants during the mandatory pre-race briefing.

All participants will sign an approved release of liability waiver and these will be submitted to PRM within 14 days after the event with the post event form and completed safety checklist (if applicable) included with the downloaded insurance information packet.
