  • 3 CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES

Before the lecture, the client must ensure:

    • Distribution of the survey. Unless otherwise agreed, the speaker uses surveys to prepare participants for the talk and to tailor the content. The client shall assist in sending this survey to the participants.

In connection with the lecture, the client must ensure:

    • A lapel microphone.
    • A projector or TV. Slides will be displayed in PowerPoint and in a 16:9 format from a MacBook brought by the speaker.
    • Connection of the speaker's own MacBook via HDMI or USB-C connection. The reason for this is that the presentation contains a custom font and some 3D animations that not all PCs or PowerPoint versions can display. If it is not possible to use the speaker's own MacBook, the client must give early notice and ensure that:
      • The PC used has an updated version of PowerPoint and the Radikal Medium font installed (see www.janolehesselberg.no/font)
      • The speaker can view their own notes in the PowerPoint presentation
      • The presentation is deleted from the PC immediately after the event
    • A sound system with connection via HDMI or mini-jack. The client is asked to ensure that the sound works when connecting an external PC.
  • 4 TRANSPORT

The speaker arranges their own travel. When booking flights, flexible flights are usually preferred.

    5 ACCOMMODATION AND DIET

Unless otherwise specified, the speaker arranges his own accommodation. When booking hotels, Hotels.com or Scandichotels.no are generally used as booking portals.

Expenses for meals will be included in the final invoice.

    6 OTHER TERMS

    1. The speaker is directly responsible for the execution and content of the talk.
    2. The talk can be canceled by the speaker due to illness or other unforeseen personal events. The speaker is obligated to attempt to find an alternative date for the talk.
    3. The following cancellation terms apply: From the agreement date until 90 days before the event, 15% of the fee is covered. If the assignment is canceled between 90 and 30 days before the event, 50% of the fee is covered. If the assignment is canceled less than 30 days before the event, 100% of the fee is covered.
    4. The client is responsible for ensuring that technical equipment is available and functioning, and that facilities are prepared for the agreed lecture.
    5. Recording or taping of the event must not take place without the written permission of the speaker.
    6. Any form of change to the event in relation to the current agreement requires the speaker's written consent.
    7. The agreement is considered confidential between the parties and cannot be shared with outsiders without the consent of the speaker.
    8. The speaker is not liable for delays or non-attendance caused by circumstances beyond the speaker's control, including obstacles that fall under the term "force majeure." The speaker cannot be deducted from the fee for late arrival due to delays caused by public transport or traffic accidents.
  • 7 Confirmation

I confirm on behalf of the client that we wish to book an assignment under the conditions described above.

I also confirm that the agreement is considered binding when Jan-Ole Hesselberg or someone else from Hesselberg Rådgivning sends an email confirmation.
