About “Power, Money and Sex… oh yeah, and Love” by Sally Kinka
When an extraordinarily wealthy tycoon (Everett B. Thistleway)
marries the teenage nurse (Lily Luda) of his just deceased wife,
he then throws her over for a new-comer, (Lily Magnolia). Soon
after, he promptly dies, leaving his fortune to his new wife.
Right on cue, Lily Magnolia’s ex-lover (Wyndham Wainwright III)
returns to capture the heart (and fortune) of the rich widow.
But Willy has two Lily’s standing between him and Everett’s
money, as well as the always watchful servants (Ivy and Nathan
Thompson). However, its nothing that a little morphine and Coca-
Cola, administered by Dr. Bertram S. Master can’t solve.
Power, Money and Sex… oh yeah, and Love is an “almost musical,”
with characters that resonate today. It is a dark comedy of the
Gilded Age, full of treachery, greed, murder, scheming, Ouija
boards, phantoms and a newspaper dress… oh yeah, and love.
