2026 Summer Youth Leadership Institute Registration Form
  • KCSC Summer Institute Registration Form

This summer, the KCSC Summer Institute invites Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) middle and high school students (based on their grade level for the 2026-2027 school year) to participate in an immersive arts and community experience. Hosted at Camp Indianola, participants will stay in waterfront cabins and enjoy the natural beauty of the ocean while building meaningful connections with peers. Throughout the program, students will engage in a dynamic blend of outdoor activities and creative exploration. Participants will kayak, hike, swim in the ocean, gather for evening campfires, and take part in games and shared experiences designed to foster community and lasting memories. This year’s program centers on artistic expression across five forms: music (including rap, singing, and instruments), visual art (such as painting and drawing), photography (nature and still imagery), sculpture (working with materials like clay), and theater (including sketches and plays). Through these mediums, students will explore and reflect on AANHPI identity, storytelling, and self-expression. By the end of the program, each participant will have created original work that reflects their voice and experiences. Blending creativity, collaboration, and outdoor adventure, the KCSC Summer Institute offers a space where middle and high school students can learn from one another, express themselves authentically, and build lasting connections.
