All children in Recreation Programs must have a Youth Registration Form filled out and signed by a parent or guardian.
All children must stay on the grounds of the community center for the duration of the program unless released to a parent or guardian. Adults picking up must be listed on the Registration Form and show Picture ID.
Camp hours are 6:30am – 6:00pm. We charge $1.00 per minute for late pick-ups from 6- 6:30pm and $2 per minute after 6:30pm.
NOTE: Holiday Camp Hours 7:00am-6:00pm
If withdrawing child from recreation program, a Request for Participant Withdrawal Form must be fill out, signed and turned into Day Camp Staff Member.

If your child is sick, they will not be allowed to stay at camp. Child needs to be picked up within 1hour of phone call from camp. Child must be fever, vomit, lice, and diarrhea free for 24 hours before returning to camp. No refunds or credits will be issued due to child illness.
Camp Staff are unable to administer any medication to children.
Registration fee includes on camp shirt, handed out on first day attending camp (summers only). We would like your child to wear their camp shirt every day of camp for their safety. The Day Camp staff will be wearing their t-shirts every day. There will be additional camp shirts for sale for $10, if you would like to purchase more.
Please review with your child the height requirement for the swimming pool slides. Your child must be 4’0 (48”) tall to use the pool slide. If you would like your child to wear a life jacket, please add to Youth Registration Form. If you would like to make changes to your child’s Youth Registration Form, please initial next to changes on form.
No bad language, talk of sex or violence will be permitted at camp.
Bullying, hitting, violent behavior, name-calling, etc. are prohibited at Camp and may result in dismissal from camp without refunds.
No weapons or sharp object of any kind will be allowed. This will result in immediate dismissal from camp.
Leave all electronics & expensive toys at home, cell phones must be kept in backpack. City of Federal Way Day Camp is not responsible for lost personal belongings.

Dismissal from camp without refund
Children will need parents/guardian to provide morning snack, sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, swimming suit and towel each day. Camp will provide an afternoon snack.
All children need to have sunscreen applied each day before camp. We will be outside every day, we are counting on parents to help with the application of sunscreen. Day camp staff cannot apply sunscreen, unless it is spray on.
We will be moving and getting messy. Please dress your child appropriately for activities (including coats for rainy days). Hats are not to be worn inside the Federal Way Community Center.
We strongly encourage children to wear tennis shoes each day rather than flip flops or sandals. We frequently walk to Celebration Park and play games outside.
Field Trips will be on Wednesdays. If your child arrives to the Federal Way Community Center after buses have left (normally by 9am), it will be your responsibility to transport your child to the field trip location.
NOTE: Holiday Camp field trip date will vary & Spring Break Field trip will be Wednesday.
