KU Welcome Crew

You are interested in international exchange, enjoy using WhatsApp and Instagram, and want to help make international students feel welcome at KU? Then this is your chance to join our KU Welcome Crew (formerly known as "Adopt a Student").

As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a small but committed team that supports international students digitally – and occasionally on site.

Your main tasks:

Attending a short online info session in March or September (date will be announced)
Supporting our WhatsApp groups for international students (answering questions, sharing tips)
Helping the International Office with Instagram content (ideas, feedback, maybe a story or post takeover)
Welcoming your assigned international student(s) via WhatsApp before arrival
Offering help or local insights during the first weeks (digitally or in person)
Supporting us at hand-overs and welcome events (October / April)

This is a low-barrier and flexible volunteering opportunity – ideal for those who enjoy intercultural exchange, are social media-savvy, and want to support without committing full-time.
