About the Facilitator
My ancestral name is Dom-an, short for Domanay, from my maternal grandparents. I belong to the Kankanaey Indigenous Peoples of Sagada, Cordillera Administrative Region in Northern Philippines. I am a bamboo nose flute player. I co-founded Kasiyana Peace and Healing Initiatiaves which is a platform for community based collaborations that includes the promotion of culturally rooted arts, organic agriculture, conservation of ceremonial sacred landscapes, regenerative development initiatives, non-violent communications for mental health and well-being. I was widowed in 2005. I am mother of three daughters.

The Center for Babaylan Studies and Kasamahan
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Center for Babaylan Studies (CfBS), a non-profit organization committed to helping bring our Indigenous wisdom traditions in the homeland to our Kapwa in the Filipino/a/x diaspora. CfBS provided financial support to Dom-an Macagne in her research studies and Kasamahan's Eliza Jade Brown supported the start of this collaboration with her participation in last year's CfBS Kapwa Nilalang Symposium. This joint collaboration between the two nonprofit organizations is to explore how Filipino/a/x mental health care can be reconnected with Filipino indigenous practices and wisdom.
Please contact our moderator, Maria Cristina Castro, LCPC at president@kasamahan.org for any workshop related questions.
