Presenter Bio
Dr. Roblyn Lewter is an International Psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and where she has focused on behavior modification, domestic violence and rape crisis, substance abuse treatment and individual and family therapy. In addition, she has over 16 years of experience in higher education where she has served in both senior administrative/leadership positions as well as Core Faculty, all in which her primary focus has been on students of color, nontraditional students and other marginalized populations.
As an International Psychologist, Dr. Lewter is committed to ensuring that communities globally have access to psychological services and theories in a manner that is appropriate to their cultural context. Her primarily focus, however, is on cultural intelligence and human rights globally. Dr. Lewter has provided human rights trainings and psychological services in regions globally to include but not limited to Ghana, Kuwait, Peru, Germany, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Nepal, Morocco and Turkey.
Dr. Lewter holds a PhD in International Psychology, a Mastersin Business Administration, a Masters in Healthcare Administration, a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelors in Psychology and Mass Communications.
Dr. Lewter is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, where she served as Chair of the Mental Health Committee for many years. . In addition, as she is forever committed to addressing trauma, she is also a founding member of USA Today’s “I Survived It” Facebook group, that is committed to providing a voice and a place for resources and healing for survivors globally.
