We are seeking volunteers for the 2023 Global Implementation Conference (GIC) Program Planning Committee (PPC) and for two Co-Chairs to serve as leaders for GIC 2023.
PPC Committee Members: Serving on the PPC includes monthly committee meeting attendance and gives you the opportunity to provide input on the speakers and content of the conference and to network with other colleagues from around the globe. PPC members may be recruited from outside GIS membership to help enhance diversity and representativeness.
GIC Co-Chairs: GIC Co-Chairs must be GIS members and will assume the following responsibilities during their tenure, which will last approximately two years, from one GIC event through completion of the subsequent conference.
Convene monthly meetings with the Program Planning Committee members
Coordinate activities with GIC event management team and document accomplishment of tasks and milestones
Coordinate with the GIS Board of Directors via group meetings, email, and through the assigned GIS Board liaison
Conduct outreach to speakers and assist with scoping of sessions
Delegate tasks and/or create subcommittees to assist with program development (e.g., abstract reviews)
All GIS members are welcome to submit interest for participating in program planning for GIC 2023. We are especially interested in increasing representation of volunteers from under-represented countries within GIS (countries outside of North America and Western Europe).
