Kimball Jenkins seeks to support artists local to New Hampshire with diverse perspectives working in a broad range of mediums. Selected artists will be at a critical point in their career where access to studio space and exhibition opportunities will significantly benefit their career. Artists are welcome to identify a period of 6 months- 1 year to be in residence from 2022-2024. Each artist will receive:
- private studio space onsite at Kimball Jenkins' historic campus
- a solo exhibition or performance
- a $500-$1000 stipend depending on the duration of the residency
- marketing and media outreach to promote work during residency
- professional development and networking in the regional arts community
Selected artists will be asked to hold at least one public presentation related to their work. The residency does not provide housing, and the artist cannot reside in their studio. There is an expectation that the Artist in Residence will be actively using the space. Any special equipment or specific studio access will need to be approved prior to residency.
We are very interested in creating an inclusive environment and providing safe spaces for a broad spectrum of New Hampshire's exceptional artists, including people with disabilities, BIPOC artists, Queer artists and New Americans.
