Why are we asking for this information?
With fraud on the rise, we want to make sure funds are being paid into the right bank accounts to protect both us and our vendors from unauthorised transactions. The Finance team is putting stronger controls in place to keep Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust and our vendors safe.
While proof of bank account details is now pretty standard, it hasn’t always been a requirement. Recently, there have been cases where bank account numbers on invoices were changed without organisations realising, which meant payments were redirected.
We want to stay ahead of these risks and tighten up our processes to keep everyone protected.
